Two men have been charged related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, police said.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people required hospital care and were later discharged.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
